Secure your winning ticket, temper your enthusiasm, and claim your prize within 180 calendar days. An unsigned ticket is a "hot" ticket -- whoever signs it, owns it. When you buy the ticket, sign the back with your or your group's name. If you win, photocopy the front and back of the ticket and have the signature notarized. If you need time to arrange your affairs, lock the ticket in a safe deposit box.
