The Nextel ringtones service provides tunes from Pop to Rap and beyond, all under the iDEN-update brand. Nextel ringtones are available for a select set of Nextel cell phones that are upgradeable in the iDEN update service.

As Motorola makes the Nextel cell phones, you may already be familiar of the quality of the Nextel ringers available, if you’ve ever downloaded additional ringers to a Motorola phone.

In order to use the Nextel service, you’ll need a ringtones capable phone. The current set of ringer capable phones is:

Make sure that either of these phones has software version R76.01.01 or higher before you purchase the phone.

When you download wirelessly, you can browse tunes from pop, rap, blues, TV tunes to sound effects.

When you upload applications to these phones, your maximum is limited by available memory. Therefore, you should be able to get a maximum of 50 additional Nextel ringtones before you have to make space for new ones.
